The Councilor for Addiction Prevention of the Dénia Town Hall, Melani Ivars, through the UPCCA (Unit for Community Prevention in Addictive Behaviors), has announced the start of activities aimed at Dianense families for this new course.
This is the eighth edition of the Educando en el presente program, which aims to focus on the importance of educating young people in order to improve their self-esteem, coexistence and communication in their homes. The program also explains the need to avoid problems related to risk behaviors derived from the misuse and abuse of new technologies. And not only looking to the future, but also starting now to solve the problems that may arise in relation to these issues. We educate in the present, to avoid problems in the future.
This new edition will consist of two sessions aimed at mothers, fathers, families, teachers and other professionals where it will try to offer the tools and strategies to develop good self-esteem and communication in the family and to deal with problems arising from the use or abuse ICT (mobile, PC, videogames and social networks). The topics that are going to be dealt with are current and it is essential to undertake them to help young people in their growth and development.
They also offer practical workshops during the holidays aimed at parents so that their children learn and take as an example what should not be done, neither with drugs nor with the most popular social drug Alcohol.
