The Mercat de Dénia becomes a meeting place for residents and neighbors in Europe Day

The Mercat de Dénia has hosted for the first time, the celebration of Europe Day. As each 9 May, the city joins the continental celebrations, which this year have moved to the focal point of the meeting for excellence in Dénia.

This was explained by the Councilor for International Relations, Óscar Mengual, who placed special emphasis on the designation of Dénia as the Creative City of Gastronomy. That is why he considered it "a good opportunity to interact, presenting the Mercat and its fresh and quality products to foreign residents and, conversely, so that regular customers of the square know the activities carried out by these associations of foreign residents".

In celebration of Europe Day in Dénia participated residents associations Costa Blanca Astronomical Society, Association of Dutch Language, Dénia France Ouverture Francophone, Euroclub, Fraternité Dénia, Help Dénia and Marina Alta, Konzertfreunde, PIAST Association Polish-Spanish, Probuda Association Bulgarian Association U3A- 3.ª Age Dénia, Wir für Sie and Russia House Levante.

From the 11 of the morning they settled in the central space of the market to offer the public information about their activity. Some of them have prepared typical dishes of their countries, with which they have given to the sellers of the square. The celebration has also included the dance performances of the dance group of the Bulgarian Association Probuda and the House of Andalusia of Dénia.
