Mayca Sala was third in the 'Espurna de Oliva Foundation 5K nights'

The athlete, Mayca Sala, managed to be third in the absolute female classification in the Fundación Espurna 5 K Nocturno de Oliva solidarity event.

Mayca found herself very well during the journey that fits perfectly with her qualities as a midfielder. He crossed the finish line with a time of 21'38 ”. In this same race, Laurence Rastell, from the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club, finished in sixth place with a record of 23'58 ”.

Ahead of them, entered the second place, the French athlete, Christelle Mesnage, very friendly to them, who usually spends her holidays in Dénia. His time to reach the goal was 20'24. ”

On the other hand, Ignacio Cardona, from the Llebeig Xàbia Athletics Club, was another of the participants. Cardona was third overall for men. All of them showed their satisfaction at being able to run a night test, without having to endure the strong heat of the afternoons.

Mayca Sala herself at the end of the race commented that, "I appeal to our city council to dare to organize a night race in Dénia such as a Mile (1600m) or even a test of 5.000 meters which is a distance that many people can do without problems".
