The athlete, mayca Room, managed to be third in the women's absolute classification in the solidarity test Fundación Espurna 5 K Nocturno de Oliva.
Mayca found herself very well during the journey that fits perfectly with her qualities as a midfielder. She crossed the finish line with a time of 21'38 ”. In this same race her partner, from the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, Laurence Rastell, finished in sixth place with a record of 23'58 ”.
Ahead of them, entered the second place, the French athlete, Christelle Mesnage, very friendly to them, who usually spends her holidays in Dénia. His time to reach the goal was 20'24. ”
On the other hand, Ignacio Cardona, of Llebeig Athletics Club Xàbia, was another of the participants. Cardona was third in the men's general. All of them showed their satisfaction at being able to run a night test, without having to endure the strong heat of the afternoons.
Mayca Sala herself at the end of the race commented that, "I appeal to our city council to dare to organize a night race in Dénia such as a Mile (1600m) or even a test of 5.000 meters which is a distance that many people can do without problems".
