Les Roques neighbors take the word through the Consell de Barri

On Monday night, in the Les Roques fault house, the Consell del Plà Special of the Barri de les Roques, a participative organ open to all the neighbors in which the actions that affect the neighborhood will be discussed and construed with the aim of dignifying it, as explained by the Councilor for Territory and President of the Consell, María Josep Ripoll.

The Consell will be formed by 21 members: the president, the secretary, Óscar Mengual; six representatives of the municipal groups in the town hall, five of the neighborhood association, one of the fault, another of the area's merchants and seven members who were chosen by lot.

In the first meeting, the creation of three working groups was finalized to speed up procedures. One will be in charge of the incidents and will be chaired by the councilor of the neighborhood, Paco Roselló, who will deal with the day-to-day affairs of the neighborhood. The second group of work will deal with mobility, will be chaired by the mayor Javier Scotto and will focus on issues such as traffic or the possible pedestrianization of the area. The third group, meanwhile, the Urban Uses and Spaces, will address the aesthetics of the neighborhood, urban action plans and subsidies for the rehabilitation of housing.

During the meeting it was decided that the first meetings of the working groups will be held between the last week of February and first of March, and have a monthly, while the Consell will meet every three months.
