The participation of citizens and a commitment to take advantage of all investments of the European Union that are aimed at making regions go to the next level and placed at the forefront of the world are the two lines of action that will follow the socialists from 2019 to make Dénia a Smart City.

This was stated last Thursday, during the second day of open doors held at its headquarters on Smart Cities in which the delegate of European Projects participated in the Diputación de Valencia and councilor of Quart de Poblet, Bartolomé Nofuentes.

Nofuentes said that "Dénia will soon be a reference, as is Quart de Poblet, on the list of smarts cities of all the world. Our commitment is strong so that, in a scenario where 5G technology is a reality, Dénia is the vanguard ".

In the course of the day, councilor Maria Josep Ripoll, said that in 2019 "we aim to develop Smart City projects". In this regard, he recalled that it has been in this term when Dénia has played a leading role in the global scene, increasing its presence and its hospitable, friendly and humane image in countries around the globe with the appointment of the Creative City of Gastronomy. by UNESCO.
