The socialists of Dénia brand as "barbarity" the total demolition of the Mediterranean building

The spokesman for the socialist group, Vicent Grimalt, denounced this morning the complete demolition of the “protected” building of the old Mediterranean Bar-restaurant.

Según los socialistas, «este es un edificio protegido parcialmente, ya que el proyecto de restauración estaba condicionado a guardar y conservar las fachadas del edificio anexo y posiblemente algún elemento interno”.

In recent weeks, this building has been present in the media as a dangerous element since it was in very poor condition. In spite of this, Grimalt has declared that to totally demolish could suppose a "possible attack against the historical patrimony of the city".

Por esta razón, el líder socialistas ha declarado que van a qué ha sucedido en la rehabilitación de este edificio emblemático, «y no vamos a dudar en lo más mínimo, en denunciar los hechos si se verifica que se ha actuado al margen de la legalidad”.
