The socialists of Dénia brand as "barbarity" the total demolition of the Mediterranean building

11 2014 April - 13: 29

The Socialist Party spokesman, Vicent Grimalt, Has denounced this morning the complete demolition of the "protected" building of the former Mediterranean Bar-restaurant.

According to the Socialists, "this is a partially protected building, since the restoration project was conditioned to save and preserve the facades of the annexed building and possibly some internal element."

In recent weeks, this building has been present in the media as a dangerous element since it was in very poor condition. In spite of this, Grimalt has declared that to totally demolish could suppose a "possible attack against the historical patrimony of the city".

For this reason, the socialist leader has declared that they are going to what has happened in the rehabilitation of this emblematic building, "and we will not doubt in the least, in denouncing the facts if it is verified that they have acted outside the law "

I think that if you have to give a good image of Denia, but not knocking down the buildings by knocking down, in all European countries, you try to fix the old buildings and give them life as in their time, is also happening with the old fish market, In the port, until it does not fall to corks or throw (as it happened with this building that we are commenting), they are not going to do anything in it, they will only say that it has to be torn down and period.
Does not it look bad to see it collapse little by little?

  2. Lucia says:

that's what they want ... to delay it so that it has a bad image and that they criticize the city council, for political reasons.
Do not look for the interests of Denia. At least these have caught the bull by the horns to fix that. What did Mr. Grimalt do? Nothing

  3. Enrique says:

Each other the house unswept. The building as a whole, many years that should have been thrown ago, Mr Grimalt Please building was an embarrassment to the city, leave the dead in peace. WELL IS PULLED. We lengthen the agony of not building because it was disgusting.

  4. Marta says:

A building does not deteriorate overnight, it needs time, time they have had to avoid deterioration. But it is easier to let him die and lament how bad the poor building is, to wait and do big business with the builder.
Let's see if at least they are able to do something that looks nice since it is the entrance to Marques de Campo and not build a plaster tacky or a building of 20 plants in front of the sea giving back to all of Denia.

  5. Maria says:

Now have to see who benefits and the demolition is done there. Untangle the knot frame. And if not take care of the unique and historic buildings, they denote ignorance and lack of sensitivity of a people

    • antonia says:

Indeed, we will see over time who will benefit from this demolition. What will happen as always they will build floors….

  6. antonia says:

Alas, if it had been restored when he began to fall not now be in these conditions, because it was pretty good.

  7. Jose Carlos says:

Inculta? Come now. We all know that it was a very dangerous building. That it was not the first time that rubble fell. Most of the people are saying that it was time to throw themselves away. That those who now criticize, were governing 6 fateful years and did nothing about it. Therefore, I do not know what culture you speak.

  8. I xelo says:

Sure, if this building had been located in any serious country that protects the unique buildings of the city, it would be protected by heritage and restored, to make the history of the city known to future generations. It's a shame, now their pockets will be filled with the land… ..we live in a corrupt country.

  9. Maria says:

They have dropped it with treachery, now they say it was dangerous. The dangerous thing is the uneducated people and sinsensibility that governs us. Let's destroy our history so we will do adanism.

  10. MARISA says:

And the barbarities continue, it seems to lie that this town so beautiful, is losing its charm.
After having the Mediterranean building stopped for years, now they start to want to start doing something, but like everything, for a few years, it is stalled and what is finished, does not work (like the solar streetlights in Cami pou de la muntaña) And the wreckage that it has caused in asphalt of the Montgo marquesas.
Let's see if you put the batteries and you notice something.
    Thank you.

  11. Maria Jose says:

Mr. Grimalt as well as the rest of his party must continue thinking that the best image of Denia is the ruin of the aforementioned Mediterranean building, for having totally damaged tiles.
They can build another building and take advantage of the tiles as an ornament.
They can also do what John thinks, but never leave that ruin

  12. Juan says:

That triangular, small and uncomfortable to build, solar should revert to the people and to make a placeta for the enjoyment of citizens. What I swapped for another somewhere else and of equivalent value!
