Pilgrims will be able to seal their credentials in the Baleària of the Camino de Santiago that passes through Dénia

Baleària Port has become a point to seal the credentials in a new route of the Camino de Santiago that starts in the Balearic Islands and passes through Dénia on the way to Almansa.

It is a new route that starts for the first time in the Balearic Islands, as part of the Monastery of Lluc (Mallorca). After two stages the city of Palma is reached, from which you can take the boat to Dénia. There, in Baleària Port, pilgrims can receive the stamp accrediting the stage. This route reaches Almansa, where it joins the Camino de la Lana, to continue towards Santiago de Compostela.

Following an agreement between the Fundació Baleària and the Association Way of the Dawn, the maritime station has the power to seal the credentials of the pilgrims.

This weekend, a group of more than 25 pilgrims, belonging to the Camino del Alba de Xàbia association, have inaugurated this new route, starting from the Balearic island. Yesterday, after traveling aboard the fast ferry Cecilia Payne, the pilgrims arrived at Dénia at noon, where they were received by authorities of the Ajuntament de Dénia and the Fundació Baleària, who placed the corresponding stamp on their credentials of pilgrims.
