On May 15, Family Day was celebrated throughout the world, a special day at Alfa & Omega School, where hundreds of people gathered to commemorate a special day with music, workshops and many activities.

The children who participated were the absolute protagonists, with a program of activities prepared exclusively for them, while the adults were able to participate in more than twenty workshops on nature, solidarity, personal care, nutrition and healthy cooking, dances, language of signs, manual creativity, first aid and even an improvised gospel choir.

During the day there was also time for music with the participation of the choir composed by the students of the center, who performed the school anthem, composed by Professor Ruth Comins in lyrics and music. Also the celebration counted on the participation of Marcos Martins, finalist of the contest the Voice in its last edition, that participated with a mini recital and singing one of the songs that made jump to the popularity, You raise me up.

For its part, the Gospel choir performed two songs before proceeding to read the blessing of the family in a year in which the United Nations has focused on the theme, «Las familias, una vida sana y un futuro sostenible», to ensure a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages.

The celebration of Family Day at the Afa & Omega center was attended by numerous volunteers, who facilitated information, parking and traffic, helped to find the places of the workshops, were in the emergency post and welcomed .
