Dénia's lawyers on strike: more than 100 trials and 500 actions will be suspended every week
From this Tuesday, the lawyers of the administration of Justice of all Spain are called to an indefinite strike that could paralyze the courts of the entire state. In Dénia, where the strike will be seconded, it is expected that more than 100 trials, half a thousand actions and hundreds of Civil Registry procedures will be suspended each week until they achieve their objectives.
At 11:00 on Tuesday, several lawyers from Dénia have gathered at the doors of the city's Palace of Justice in order to express their professional claims and call on the Ministry of Justice to initiate the necessary steps to reach a negotiated solution that puts an end to the conflict that has dragged on for years. According to the lawyers of the judicial district of Dénia, the Ministry of Justice would have "neglected, forgotten, and even underestimated" their working, statutory and remuneration conditions. "Especially the latter," they underline, "whose adequacy to the functions and responsibilities has been systematically denied for 14 years, even though they have legal recognition."
«No lo habíamos reclamado por las sucesivas crisis que han habido estos años, y hemos mostrado nuestra solidaridad y corresponsabilidad general con las arcas públicas», indicaba el comité de huelga dianense. No obstante, empezaron a impulsar una serie de acuerdos que son los que ahora han sido negados. Critican, además, las palabras de ayer del secretario de Estado de Justicia, Antonio ‘Tontxu’ Rodríguez, que señaló que había fines políticos tras la convocatoria. Los letrados de Dénia consideran un menosprecio a sus reclamaciones y hacia todo aquello que se había acordado.

Tanto las palabras del secretario de Estado como la desatención de los acuerdos ya pactados han conducido a esta huelga convocada que empieza hoy, martes, y tiene carácter indefinido. «Sin nuestra presencia, que damos fé de absolutamente todo lo que ocurre en los juzgados y tribunales, prácticamente nada se puede celebrar». Vistas, juicios, citaciones, tramitaciones… Todo ello quedará completamente paralizado hasta que los letrados lleguen a un acuerdo con el Ministerio. Según el cálculo del comité de huelga del partido judicial de Dénia, afectará a más de 100 juicios y más de 500 actuaciones semanalmente, en nuestro Palacio de Justicia, sufriendo una suspensión inevitable, así como a centenares de trámites en el Registro Civil.
