School best known marine biodiversity through a series of talks

February 11 from 2015 - 10: 30

The students of 6º of primary and 1º of ESO Marist, Pou de la Muntanya, Cervantes, Montgó, Paidos, Llebeig and Raquel Payà and the Historian Chabàs and number 3 institutes are these days immersed in the Mediterranean marine biodiversity.

Y lo hacen gracias al ciclo de charlas «La Mar de Dénia», que del 2 al 20 de febrero está teniendo lugar en estos centros educativos a cargo del personal encargado del servicio de vigilancia de la reserva marina del Cap de Sant Antoni.

The talks provide information about the marine reserve of Cap de Sant Antoni, the main species that inhabit the seabed and the types of cetaceans are sighted from our shores, with special emphasis on the copies of fin whales that pass through our waters in spring and summer.

Also it explained to schoolchildren what to do in case you find a turtle or whale beached and how they are treated specimens found in the Ark of Mar del Oceanogràfic of Valencia.
