The "II Spanish Cup of Sea Kayak"Held in Dénia and organized by the Real Club Nautico Dénia left several podiums in the town. This sporting event that hosted more than 200 paddlers from many different points of the Spanish geography had local prominence in the category of Veterans. The paddler, Juan Carlos Pérez was gold in the K1 Veterans Sprinter category. The technique used by the representative of the Real Club Náutico Dénia was perfect and led him to be the best in this category. Another of the protagonists of this event was, Javier Gil, Dénia Canoe Club, which was gold in Veterano K1 Traditional.

They also managed to get on the podium, David Montes, of the Canoaing Club Denia, second in the category Veteran A K1 Sprinter. Jürgen Hagenow of the RCN. Denia was third in Veteran E and Veterans' K2, Alejandro Görnemann and Pedro Ortega, who won third place among the doubles in their category.

These good results left the Real Club Náutico Dénia racing team in seventh place in a classification that led RCN Palma, while second place went to CN La Vila Joiosa and third place went to Club de Mar Mallorca.

The tests were developed under optimal conditions to navigate this allowed the kayaks to complete the tests without incident and enjoying the coast of Denia.

The presentation of trophies was attended by the president of the Canoe Federation of the Valencian Community, Juan Antonio Cinto, who accompanied, José Antonio Chapa, President Sea Kayak Committee, Marián Tamarit, Councilor for Sports of the City of Dénia and Jaime Portolés , president of the Real Club Náutico Dénia who greatly appreciated the participation of all the paddlers and congratulated the winners.
