Hedgehog consumption data neolithic, mullets were a real treat at the tables of Roman food, and the first fish farms were created in ancient times to keep alive brunettes.

These and other curiosities are collected in the book «Sabor a mar», Writer and journalist Angeles Ruiz, presented this afternoon at the Real Club Náutico de Dénia from the 19 hours.

This book is the first in a series of writings on food that are included in the collection «Cuadernos de bitácora gastronómicos de la Comunitat Valenciana»And talks about the fish of the Mediterranean and its importance in our power throughout history.

En «Sabor a mar», the reader can find a list of the most common fish of our cuisine and the most economical ones, which are sometimes not used because they are great strangers. Ángeles Ruiz begins his book in Dénia and its port with interviews to fishermen, salazoneros and boat chefs.

The book, prefaced by the cook Quique Dacosta, has the collaboration of the editor of the newspaper Información Antonio Llorens, the marine biologist Alfonso Ramos, the sommelier Javier Aparicio, the cook Evarist Miralles and the nutritionist Elena Haro.
