The dianenses David Ribes and Carlos Balaguer finished TRIATHLON Al-Mudayna middle distance

Dianenses athletes continue to address the important challenges which usually tend to emerge unscathed. On this occasion, David Ribes and Carlos Balaguer managed to finish the Triathlon Al-Mudayna in the distance known as "Medio Ironman".

The test had a first segment swimming 1.900 meters which took place in the reservoir of Argos in Cehegin. Then faced a cycling segment 91 km., The beautiful landscapes of the interior of the Northwest Region of Murcia. The first part was quick to confront the ascent to the port of Los Alamos Collao, with a drop of 5.1%.

The last segment footrace of 21 Km., Took place in a circuit 7 kilometers, unabridged along the promenade mall Caravaca de la Cruz, a unique setting for the practice of running, which gave 3 laps receiving heat large audience that gathered in the home straight.

Carlos Balaguer, entered the 133 position of the overall standings with a total time of 6: 20: 00. His part was swimming 40: 53, it marked cycling track of 3: 32: 23, and the segment running, stopped the clock at 1: 59: 52.

The winner of the race was, Francisco Fernández-Cortés with a total time of 4: 33: 11, the second place went to Eduardo Chordá with a record of 4: 35: 38 and the podium was completed, Alberto Bravo who made a time 4: 40: 19.
