Civil society requires local political consensus to approve the PGE

More than a dozen representatives of different business, professional and neighborhood entities of the city of Denia demanded a non-politicized urbanism and the consensus of all the groups to give green light to the document that has been working for some months, the General Structural Plan.

Antonio Vargas Zurita, president of the Association of Builders and Related Companies of Dénia, read a statement in which he stressed that, after 25 years of urban paralysis, "We are at an ideal and unrepeatable moment to approve the PGE, mainly due to the availability of multiple favorable sector reports that condition management."

In the opinion of the signatory collective, "Approving the PGE would mean that Dénia would eliminate the great limitations in its urban development competencies because it lacked a planning document, as well as having sufficient legal certainty and certainty to generate confidence in the markets".

That is why the communiqué asks the political groups with municipal representation "That in the next few days, and before the end of this term, call in full to approve the PGE with the maximum consensus."

"Once that is done" - continue- "We urge the next local government to get to work from minute one on the detailed one and, therefore, on the details of an ordination that is based on an inseparable city-port model."

While demanding the approval of the PGE, they also require the implementation of the proposed Advisory Council for "definitely democratize dianense urbanism". To end their communiqué, they demand political groups "That the PGE is not used in the next election campaign" as "Its approval will be an achievement of society as a whole, a success to be shared by all the citizens of Dénia".

111 allegations in the second exposure to the public

The past 27 of April concluded the second exposure to the public of the PGE, which has thrown a total of 111 allegations. Of these, a total of 85 will not be reported as they are referred to detailed planning, which is not included in the PGE; Refer to issues that have already been answered in the first phase of the public exhibition or are generic claims that do not relate to specific issues in the document.

Among the remaining 26 are topics that address the Catalog of Zones of Interest in Landscape and Botanical (1); The Catalog of Goods and Protected Spaces (2); The petition for declaration to enter into the Territorial Action Plan of a sectorial nature on prevention of Flood Risk in the Valencian Community (3) or the demarcation of Coasts (9).
