Santissima Sang procesionará with its own anthem

José Monfort Monserrat, a neighbor of Gata great lover of music and composition, has given the city a hymn to its patron saint, the Holy Blood.

Monfort has always lived linked to music, since he entered the musical world at the age of 14, and now, after his retirement, he is dedicated to composing pieces for the patrons of the towns of the region. His work includes the composition of the Copa América anthem and about 45 pieces. Towns like Pedreguer, Gata and Ondara already have their own hymns, and will soon do the same with Xàbia.

The composite part is a march procession will premiere on July 10 when the image of the patron wander through the streets of Dénia.

José Monfort delivered the score to the president of the Musical Artistic Association, Josep Vicent Bonet, and a CD with the recording of the march to the Councilor for Culture, Pepa Font, in the presence of the president of the Brotherhood of the Santíssima Sang, Andrés Write, and the waitress of the Santíssima Sang, Bonfilia Perles.
