The problem of electrocution of birds, a study in Dénia

Interpretation Center Montgo in Bosc DianaIt has received this weekend a new day dedicated to birds and their environment, by the specialized company in the middle Magic & Nature. The activity, aimed at the whole family and focused on the problem of electrocution of birds, was a great success of participation, and it was necessary to expand the number of places provided.

The day began with a session of scientific ringing hand bird expert and biologist Francisco Atiénzar, where attendees had the opportunity to anneal to various species, such as the Sardinian warbler, the robin, the common sparrow or the European agateador .

He continued with a talk, led by expert Antonio Castillo, where attendees learned the threats that produce electrical installations on birdlife, which because of its high mortality are one of the causes that lead to imbalance in our ecosystem. For smaller educational scavenger hunt we were also conducted. The day ended with a picnic.
