Local police uniform Gran Gala premiere at the presentation of the Falleras Seniors

Based on grand gala uniforms of the Municipal Police he used Dénia in the years 60 and 70, the local police in Denia has rescued these models to show off in institutional events.

The idea came from Councilman Safety, Javier YgarzaCollector of uniforms, who led the production of two new models and has paid from his own pocket to donate them to the town hall.

Everything grew out of a picture book that will be part of the history of the local police Dénia who wrote the quartermaster chief, Jose Martinez Espasa, and will be published shortly. It could be seen wearing several municipal officers on the steps of the consistory, Gran Gala uniforms that have now been recovered.

José Antonio Sevillano has helped recreating these pieces with the only uniform remains of those years and has served as the basis for the adaptation of the two made one man and one woman.

The new version of the uniforms adapts the details of current legislation and was conducted by a national company with a cost of 2.000 euros each.

The costumes are made up of warrior and pants, helmet with white feathers, white gloves and sable, and can be seen for the first time in the presentation of the Falleras Over Denia, Sara Femenía y Paloma MengualNext Saturday in the town hall square.

Ygarza collector

Councilman Javier Ygarza is a big fan of uniforms, with a collection of over 300 caps, berets and helmets to which must be added various uniforms of all ages, but now dedicated almost exclusively to the guard Civil.

Upon discovering the image of the old uniform of the local police, the consistory decided to give two copies to be lucid on important institutional events such as the inauguration of the mayors.
