Dénia Local Police held a dozen speed controls this week in Dénia

Dénia Local Police joins the campaign of the DGT to raise awareness among condctores of vehicles on the importance of respecting speed limits. To do this, from Monday until Sunday and will hold a dozen controls on urban and interurban roads of the municipality.

• Monday, April 18 (19: 30 hours): Joan Fuster Avenue (opposite Pavilion)
• Tuesday, April 19 (8:00 am): Les Marines Highway (CV-730), from kilometer 1,6 to 2
• Tuesday, April 19 (19: 00 hours): back road of the town cemetery
• Wednesday, April 20: (7: 30 hours): Between 2.ª and 3.ª roundabout Dénia-Ondara (CV-725) road
• Wednesday, April 20 (19: 00 hours): Assagador de les Monges (area Pinaret)
• Thursday, April 21 (11: 30 hours): Between 1.º and 2.ª roundabout road Dénia-Ondara
• Thursday, April 21 (19: 00 hours): Joan Fuster Avenue, in front of the sports hall
• Friday, April 22: (8: 00 hours): Avenida dels Furs, in the section between the Llibre Repartiment Avenue and Avenue Europe
• Friday, April 22 (19: 30 hours): Carretera de Les Marines (CV-730) 1,6 to 2 kilometer
• Saturday, April 23 (11: 00 hours): Crossing road of Jesus Pobre Gata de Gorgos (CV-738), Pare Pere street intersection
• Saturday, April 23 (19: 00 hours): Metge Manuel Vallalta Avenue, near the IES Historian Chabàs
• Sunday, April 24 (19:00 p.m.): Between the regional fire station and the roundabout of the Hospital de Dénia

From the DGT they remember that every year more than 300 people die in road accidents where speed is a contributory factor. Circular at an appropriate speed could prevent a quarter of those killed in traffic accident.
