The new Glorieta de Dénia is already facing the expected end of its works

08 September 2023 - 11: 44

It seemed that the time would never come, but the works of Glorieta of the Valencian Country are about to conclude. There are hardly any vacancies left on the ground in the center of Dénia and, as the City Council itself confirmed to this newspaper, it is a matter of days before it will be open again for the enjoyment of passers-by.

It took ten months to see the work almost finished. You no longer have to use your imagination or resort to project sketches, since you can perfectly see the final result.

Except for a few meters next to the Ramón y Cajal road, where the ground is still bare, the rest already looks completely finished. It would be necessary to carry out a facelift in the Glorieta itself and re-arrange some planters that have become feral after the rains. If no extraordinary event occurs, next week we could see the Glorieta free of tools, machinery and fences.

How many millions has this botch cost?

Now find the "7" differences, if not infinite:

The project captured on paper, and reality; "a sea away." It could be Dénia's new slogan.

Y las calles aledañas, por ejemplo, la calle Pare Pere, que se ha convertido en un lugar espantoso para pasear, urinario público y reuniones nocturnas de gente con muy mala pinta. Da miedo pasar por allí. ?

  3. Laila says:

They have also definitively destroyed the bust of Roc Chabas in front of the now closed Agullo bakery?

Well, taking away what little personality this place has left.

  4. Dani says:

    Magnificent work of the Glorieta.
It was time to make it pedestrian.
Now there is a lack of tourism promotion.
And even more so for a place called País Valencià.
As a Valencian I am proud.
And for all those critics, the Valencian Country is synonymous with freedom, not Catalanism.
Burying this term is pure Francoism.
For a Plurinational, Federal, Feminist and secular Spain.

"For the enjoyment of passers-by"... oops? Will it be true this time? … Or will it be filled with tables and chairs? Time will tell… But if the usual patterns are followed… the tables and chairs will win.

  6. July says:

To lay 4 paving stones (bricks according to the councilor) is taking longer than to build the great pyramid of Giza.

Nor that they were building an architectural challenge for humanity. It is only a small remodeling, with the right professionals it is a relatively quick and simple task.

The money invested in this unnecessary pharaonic work is shameful, in addition to being shameful the incompetence with which all the action is being carried out from the offices to street level.

Regrettable. If it were a private management, the person in charge in each area involved would be out on the streets. Being politicians, the reward is to collect and raise their salaries to match I don't know what salaries for I don't know what other reason they have invented among themselves.

    • July says:

PS: “País Valencia” is a pan-Catalan ideological invention by a certain Juan Fuster. Never in history has any Valencia country existed, nor does it exist. Nor will it exist. If we want we can talk about the kingdom of Valencia.

      Everything else is mental nonsense.

  7. It says:

Catalan Leftist Gentlemen of the City Council
The country Valencia DOES NOT EXIST.
They have no respect for the Statute of Autonomy.
    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

    • Pedro says:

Sorry, Valencian Country YES, it is in the Statute of Autonomy

      • It says:

        FIRST TITLE. THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY

        FIRST ARTICLE

The Valencian People, historically organized as the Kingdom of Valencia, is constituted as an Autonomous Community, within the unity of the Spanish Nation, as an expression of its differentiated identity as a historical nationality and in the exercise of the right of self-government that the Spanish Constitution recognizes to all. nationality, with the name of Comunitat Valenciana.
