In a brief but very emotional act, the guitarist and teacher Joaquín Boscà received the prize for the dissemination of the guitar awarded by the organization of the Ciutat de Dénia Guitar Days. With this recognition, the task of dissemination, teaching and interpretation of the instrument carried out by Boscà, based in Dénia since the end of the decade of the 60 years, is rewarded.

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltAnd the councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió, Were in charge of delivering the award. Carrió said that this is a recognition more than deserved for a person who has fought for the musical training of his students throughout his career. Vicent Grimalt, for his part, recalled the figure of Boscà during the years in which he belonged to the Dénia Band.

The award-winner addressed some kind words to the attendees, making special mention of his promoter, Vicent Balaguer, who opted for him to perform in a faller presentation that marked the start of the local recognition of Boscà. He also had memories for his relatives, especially for his wife, and for all the students he has dealt with over the years.

After the tribute to Joaquín Boscà the last of the concerts held XI Gitarrentage City of Dénia with flamenco performance by Antonio Muñoz Fernández, who closed the concert series this year they have also had the Nova Companyia de Guitarres and classical guitarist Fernando Espí.
