14 March 2014 - 00: 00

This has been announced by the Socialist councilors Jordi Serra and Cristina Morera, who revealed that after the inspection of the state of the roof of the old fish market carried out last month, the General Directorate of Transport and Logistics of the Generalitat Valenciano warned the city council of the obligation to repair it as its concession.

Cristina Morera explained that he read the letter from the Directorate General of Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Planning and the Environment who entered the City Hall last 12 February in which he recalls the Dianense consistory the obligation of conservation and its if cuberita repair messed this building. In case you do not comply, remember Morera, the city could lose the concession of this building.

Explained Jordi Serra, the municipality of Dénia acquired last year the concession of the old fish market of the port of Denia to make it the new tourism office, pledging to maintain and act in the building if necessary.

The Socialist councilor recalled that the council is paying 15.210 euros plus VAT per year for the concession of this building. Serrá reported that "As the promised funds of the Trust Plan are not yet available, any emergency action carried out in this space must be borne by the depleted municipal coffers, due to the high cost of treating asbestos from the roof of the old fish market".
