The Plaça del Cinema de la Xara will host, on 18 and 19 in August, the XXII edition of Flexio Verbal, the cultural festival that will accommodate artists from all over the region, from all disciplines and from all levels. A new stage for this event, which this year is celebrated for the first time in La Xara and that may mean the beginning of an itinerant Verbal Flexio.
Carlos Rodríguez, president of the Flexió Verbal, explained that this change has been voluntary on the part of the association, since the original square, Mariana Pineda, has been massified and can take to lose the idiosyncrasy of the own festival. That is why, together with the youth department of the City of Denia, other alternatives were proposed as Llunàtics, the room Quatre de La Xara or Plaça del Cinema.
Desde la organización consideran que la Plaça del Cinema es el lugar ideal y que permite una mejor y más fácil organización, puesto que cuenta con la infraestructura necesaria para sacar adelante el festival (escenario, aseos…).
As for the program this year, Javier Martinez, A partner of the Flexio Verbal association, explained that 100 more than confirmed people in the program, which will consist of more than 40 performances and, as always, will be open until the last moment for people who are encouraged to participate. In addition, several audiovisuals will be screened, among which the short ones made by the students of the special education school Raquel Payà.
Among the novelties of this year are the Food trucks That will be installed in the square, as well as a small fair in which different associations of the region will participate. In addition, from the 19: 00 hours there will be activities for the little ones, with workshops for children and storytelling.
