Templaris filà wins the contest Paellas of Overseers of Sant Roc 2012

On Sunday, 5 in August, the Mayorales de Sant Roc celebrated their traditional paella contest, framed within the festivities of Moors and Christians. The contest, which began around the 12: 00h, was sponsored by the AEHTMA (Association of Hoteliers of the Marina Alta). In total, six groups of chefs entered the contest: Ximo Smash group, Amazigh filà, Alkamar filà, Berebers-Tuaregs filà, Templaris filà and Baix la Mar fault. In addition, the Sant Roc Brotherhood demonstrated its use in traditional Valencian cuisine, where appropriate, out of prizes.

At the 14: 30h the jury rated the paellas one by one. The court was formed by Marco Miquel (Miquel Gelaters), Pepe Marí (Hotel Costablanca), Paco Caselles (Captain Moro 2012) and Justo Morales (Captain Cristiano 2012). These four personalities decided to give the first place to the paella of the filà Templaris. Filà Amazigh and filà Alkamar took a second and third place, respectively.
