Yesterday, Sunday, August 5, the Mayorales of Sant Roc they held their traditional paella contest, framed within the Moors and Christians festivities. The contest, which began around 12:00 p.m., was sponsored by the AEHTMA (Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta). In total, six groups of chefs entered the competition: the Ximo Smash group, filà Amazigh, filà Alkamar, filà berebers-Tuaregs, filà Templaris y Baix la Mar fails. In addition, the Brotherhood of Sant Roc demonstrated its management in the traditional Valencian cuisine, where appropriate, out of prizes.
At the 14: 30h the jury rated the paellas one by one. The court was formed by Marco Miquel (Miquel Gelaters), Pepe Marí (Hotel Costablanca), Paco Caselles (Captain Moro 2012) and Justo Morales (Captain Cristiano 2012). These four personalities decided to give the first place to the paella of the filà Templaris. Filà Amazigh and filà Alkamar took a second and third place, respectively.
