The Federation of Neighborhood Associations makes a "very poor" balance of the first year of the legislature

Angry, nonexistent and without solutions to their real problems. This was how the representatives of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia showed up the balance of the first year of the legislature of the government team formed by PSPV y Compromís.

And the main reasons for this anger are twofold: on the one hand, the draft regulation of citizen participation, with which just disagreeing and have proposed several modifications; and secondly, and most annoying for neighbors, the cancellation of the Council of Citizen Participation only one day before the meeting.

Representatives of the residents were negatively surprised by the cancellation of the Consell, an appointment "very important" for them but, they say, "It doesn't seem to be so much for the government team". Apparently, the reason the City Council argued for cancellation was the lack of documentation to resolve the doubts raised in the two previous Councils, a justification that neighbors fail to grasp.

According to them, the technicians have had more than two months to respond to complaints raised in the last Consell, and it only gets "that discredit the Consell", an organ that in its point of view has been relegated in importance to the government team.

Although neighbors recognize that the treatment is better than during the previous legislature, demanding greater seriousness the government team and greater support for the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Óscar MengualSo that their work can go ahead.

President of the Federation, Jaime Fermín Ribes said that if they do not observe improvements in the coming months, convene the different neighborhood associations to decide what action to take.

Representatives of the federation acknowledged that many of the problems and complaints raised by the government team are conflicting and difficult to resolve, but consider that "they have to start working to advance their resolution"Because so far only minor problems have been solved.

Among other problems they listed the provisional Bus Station, the roundabout at the intersection of calle Diana with Joan Fuster, the car park in Les Roques, the maintenance and lighting in the Montgó area or the exit from the cemetery path.
