May 19 from 2021 - 13: 27

The balance of the Office of Citizen Attention (OAC) for the year 2020 shows that the months of the pandemic have accelerated the consolidation of the electronic means of communication with the administration. Of the total records received, 27.816 in 2020, and 11.857 between January and April 2021, more than 48% have entered through the Electronic Office (oac.denia.es).

This percentage represents an increase in the use of the Electronic Office of 13% compared to 2019, when in-person entries and through other channels still exceeded 65%.

Among the data of the 2020 balance of the OAC during the confinement, the issuance by the municipal office of 368 digital certificates, during the months of closure to the public of the PROP, and the assumption by the city council, during April and May, of this competition, which requires face-to-face attention, when electronic media became essential.

The registry was another of the services that registered the greatest demand from citizens: despite the confinement situation, the OAC processed a total of 2020 registrations in 2.639, and as of April 30, 2021 there are already 1.031. High figures if we take into account the context derived from the health crisis and that this is a procedure that must be done in person, and that the OAC was closed to the public from March 15 to May 21. In 2019, a year without incidents, 3.365 registrations were processed in the municipal register.

Regarding the number of registration certificates and flyers issued, in 2020 it amounted to 17.920.

From the figures of the register, the evolution of the population increase in Dénia is also extracted, which has doubled in the last two years: in the years 2017 and 2018, an annual average of 448 new inhabitants were added. In 2019 the figure increased to 937; and in 2020 the 826 new inhabitants were achieved.

Other data

The number of face-to-face visits to the OAC over the past year is 13.517 (arranged by mandatory appointment after the office reopens to the public on May 25). An average of 62 appointments received daily, either with one person attending or more than one in the case of registration.

During the two weeks after the reopening of the OAC, registration applications pending confinement were prioritized: a total of 260 that were processed first.

On the other hand, without an appointment, following the security and prevention measures and feeling attended to outside the municipal offices, about 40 people have been assisted during the day. Figure to which the 90 daily calls answered are added.
