The Consellería excuses itself in 'technical impossibilities' to adapt the Social Health Area

«First it was the budgetary difficulties that paralyzed the initial project, and now they are hiding behind technical impossibilities to not specify when the basic project for the temporary adaptation of La Pedrera will be available». With these words, Jordi Serra, socialist councilor and deputy, denounces that the Ministry of Social Welfare does not offer a date or budget to start the temporary adaptation of the Social and Health Area of La Pedrera.

Deputy urged those responsible for the Department of Social Welfare to specify a start date of the works, but recognized the need to equip the Marina Alta of such infrastructures, "They presented a whole catalog of excuses".

Jordi Serra explained that been more than 15 months since the proposal was passed to the Consell "and at this time the Generalitat Valenciana is still unable to say when the works of this temporary solution proposed due to the economic impossibility of undertaking the definitive project of the Socio-Health Area will be able to begin."

Still, Serra is even "more worrying" which "The Department does not specify whether the adaptation will be borne by the regional budget, or will have to be carried out by the city councils of the region." And for Serra, "It should be only the Generalitat Valenciana who is responsible for the cost of these works."
