"First it was the budgetary difficulties that paralyzed the initial project, and now they hide in technical impossibilities not to specify when the basic project for the temporary adaptation of La Pedrera will be available". With these words complaint Jordi Serra, councilor and socialist deputy, that the Ministry of Social Welfare does not offer a date or budget to start the temporary adaptation of the Sociosanitaria Area of La Pedrera.
The deputy urged those responsible for the Ministry of Social Welfare to specify a start date for the works that, although they recognized the need to provide the Marina Alta of this type of infrastructure, "they exhibited a whole catalog of excuses".
Jordi Serra explained that been more than 15 months since the proposal was passed to the Consell "and at the moment the Generalitat Valenciana is still unable to say when the works of this temporary solution will be able to begin, given the economic impossibility of undertaking the final project of the Sociosanitary Area".
Still, Serra is even "more worrisome" which "the Department does not specify whether the adequacy will be borne by the regional budget, or will have to make the municipalities of the region." And for Serra, "It must be only the Generalitat Valenciana who is responsible for the cost of these works."
