On 20 2015 May, the Hydrographic Confederation of Júcar has issued an unfavorable report to the General Structural Plan of Dénia. In this report it responds to a request of the City of Dénia issued 26 2014 December regarding flood risk plan for future developments.
CHJ reported in the document that "the General Plan must contemplate, through the necessary studies that guarantee the results, the corrective and protective measures in order to reduce or eliminate the risk of flooding and guarantee non-interference in the preferential flow zone of the channels, establishing the deadlines for execution in the case of structural actions and conditioning the development of the affected areas to the execution of said measures ".
This request, which was already contemplated by the drafters of the plan, being worked from the company aqualia to solve regard to water resources.
The report concludes that reported unfavorably "for not justifying the non-initiation in the current regime and for not accrediting the availability of water resources".
