The Dénia City Council celebrated last Sunday 11 the ninth edition of the City of Dénia Quick Painting Contest. The 36 participating people portrayed places in the city, turning the streets of Dénia into their art workshops.
The first prize was awarded to José Antonio Campos, endowed with 1.000 euros; María Teresa Durá became the second classified, with a prize of 500 euros and, for her part, Adrián Momparler received a cash prize of 300 euros as third prize winner.
On the other hand, the local prize was awarded to Svitlana, who received a trip to Formentera for two people, and the regional prize to Elena Ballester, which consisted of a meal for two people and a voucher for artistic material in the Marina Color store.
The jury for this edition was made up of the Councilor for Culture, Raul Garcia de la Reina; the artist, painter and sculptor Joan Castejón; the painter Vicent Morales, the sculptor Cristina Minguillón and the president of ADAMA, Toni Ortolà.
The five winning works will be exhibited from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 30 July at the House of Culture. Visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
