Jorge Jorro elected president of the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club

The athlete, Jorge Jorro, will have to combine his role as an athlete with the president of the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium. Jorro was elected as the leader of the entity, so he will replace Manolo Más.

The board of directors presided by Jorge Jorro is composed by Ricard Pérez, vice president, Fina Sendra as treasurer, Vicent Fornés, is the secretary, while the members are; Antoni Fornés of the school of athletics, Fran Montealegre, of the school of Triathlon, Carlos Gimeno, of asphalt, Jose Miguel Navarro and Isaías Fayos, of mountain. This directive will have to direct the destinies of the club during the next four years.

The ordinary assembly brought together some 60 partners and developed with complete normality. The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved. Decrease in budget

In economic terms the entity presented a balance of the season 2016-17 that amounted to 55.561,40 euros. For this season the partners present gave their approval to a budget significantly lower that amounts to 50.055 euros. That is, it has decreased in 5.506,40 euros.

The regulation of federated, school athletes (athletics and triathlon), popular asphalt and mountain for the season 2017.18 was approved.

Sports Balance

A review was made of the 2016-17 sports season, where the organization was organized by the club together with the Department of Sports, Volta a Peu in DéniaWithin the Circuit a Peu Marina Alta, The Half and Fourth Marathon and the athletics competition of the Mini Jocs Olímpics of the High Marina.

In addition, the rest of the sporting aspects were commented, such as the association of the club at the federated level with Juventud Atlética Elche, in minor categories and with Beach from Castellón, in Veterans. The participation of the women's team of the Elche club in the Division of Honor and the podiums achieved in the Spanish Championships by the Castellón club in cross and relays stood out. Other competitions organized by the club and the main sporting results were also reviewed.

The sports projects for the 2017-18 campaign are the organization of the Volta a Peu to Dénia, the Half Marathon, to continue with the close collaboration between the club and the City Council in the management of the municipal schools of athletics and triathlon; The local school league of athletics, the local school cross, the local school aquathlon. Continue with the collaboration with the clubs Juventude Atlética Elche and Playas de Castellón, the participation of the absolute teams of the club in the autonomic championship and in the competitions organized by the own club.

Finally, the awards given by the club to the athletes who stand out due to their regularity or their results were presented.

In the point of pleadings and questions the possibility of organizing a mile was raised and the economic effort that is being proposed by the City Council to completely renovate the athletics track was discussed in order to be able to organize complete track and field competitions.
