Jaume Bertomeu takes office as the new president of the Fallera Local Board

The City Council of Dénia welcomed last Friday afternoon the inauguration of Jaume Bertomeu i Catalán as the new president of the Fallera Local Board for the 2021-2025 financial year.

The event, which was held without public, was attended by Vicent Grimalt, mayor of Dénia, Óscar Mengual, party councilor, and the biggest falleras of Dénia, Safir Malonda and Martina Gimeno.

El nuevo presidente quiso transmitir al mundo fallero «las ganas y la ilusión que tengo de trabajar para las fallas de Dénia, una fiesta de la que nos podemos sentir orgullosos y que es un referente en toda la Comunidad Valenciana por el trabajo de las comisiones, que da como resultado magníficos monumentos».

Bertomeu recalled that «shortly, we will have to make a decision together, when to celebrate our Fallas festivals. I wouldn't want it to be a reason for distancing. We must debate and, once we are clear, we all come together in the decision.

Dénia City Council with the new executive of the Fallera Local Board

Among the objectives of the new executive, the president highlighted the intention to promote the culture and tradition of the Fallas festivals in Dénia.
