The swimmer of the Dénia Swimming Club Ineke Weekers traveled last week to the Netherlands to play the Open Master of European Swimming. In this competition he managed to beat the European record in the 800 free meters with a time of 11'47 "03.
In the 50 breaststroke meter he was first, stopping the stopwatch in 44´57 ", time that served him to achieve the national record. In the test of 1500 free meters he finished in first position with a time of 23'11” 07. Fathom meters swam in 200'3 ”, also obtaining the first place in the test.
Ineke, who started swimming for the 11 years and who, due to health reasons, had to abandon this discipline, returned a few decades later with more enthusiasm than ever. A 66 recently completed years still enjoys swimming, a sport that he is passionate about. Ineke trains daily at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia.
