Opening of the exhibition of Paco Chika

The Center d'art L'Estació will host, until the 26 in June, the exhibition of Paco Chika's paintings “TOP - SECRET” a sample of Pop-art in large format paintings as the theme requires. Acrylics that generate an explosion of color on famous people and with a background that must be discovered as indicated by the title of the exhibition.

This Extremaduran returns to the peninsula after more than 18 years in the Canary Islands to be closer to the Spanish artistic world, and has landed in these lands of the Marina Alta, where in summer periods he enjoyed art in this room that he liked so much and that is difficult to find in this area.

I would differentiate the exhibition, basically in two: one with colorful to use in pop-art where we find the famous people made in the USA, with the usual Marilyn, but with a series dedicated Frida Kahlo very interesting; and another part with a pop-art, personalized and with less color but much more elaborated and with winks to Spanish characters.

It was presented by the councilor of culture Pepa Font before many visitors who filled the room and praised the work of Paco Chika and the luck we have that he has landed in these lands. After his words gave way to a performance of the saxophones of Angela Perelló and Jaume Pineda that flooded, if possible, with more color the room.

I always encourage visitors to visit the exhibitions, depending on how each one feels the art in a different way and consequently values ​​it and that is why I leave it in the hands of the spectator. I, as an artist too, just want to encourage art and motivate you to attend all the artistic events that we have in this city and enjoy them. In this case, with this great artist who is Paco Chika, who will remain at Center d'Art L'Estació until the 26 in June and that you should not miss.
