  • HCB Denia provides the Dénia National Police with three defibrillators to cardioprotect citizens

HCB Dénia and the Dénia National Police have presented this morning the agreement reached by both formations to cardioprotect citizens.

The event, held at the HCB Dénia hospital, was attended by Ana Vasbinder, Director of Institutional Relations of HCB Hospitals, and Carlos Nieto Millán, Chief Inspector of the Dénia National Police Station.

With this agreement, HCB Dénia has donated three defibrillators to the National Police, one of them is installed in the Police Station and the other two are mobile defibrillators that will be located from today in two of the police vehicles. These vehicles are in charge of patrolling the city of Dénia 24/7.

In addition, ready-made first aid kits have also been donated, with the aim of providing agents with the necessary resources to provide immediate assistance in emergency situations, allowing them to respond effectively to injuries or urgent medical situations.

The objective, as explained from HCB Dénia, is to provide an essential tool for first aid to the agents who, on many occasions, are the first to arrive at an event.

In addition, the training of National Police agents in first aid skills and in the proper handling of the defibrillator has been carried out at the HCB Dénia facilities. Training is an essential component of the agreement, and has been and will continue to be provided to officers to ensure they are prepared and trained to effectively use defibrillators and first aid kits in situations that require it.

At the event, Ana Vasbinder wanted to highlight "These defibrillators are a very necessary tool for them to do a very important job, such as helping citizens in very complicated times of health. Many times in these matters, it is the National Police that arrives first at the scene, having to act. This is a tool for them to stabilize the patient.”

For his part, Nieto explained that "Having at our disposal, not only the training that they are giving us, but also easy-to-use equipment such as these semi-automatic and easy-to-use defibrillators, gives us a plus so that the citizen is better protected and cared for." And he adds: "For us these collaborations are absolutely essential."

With this agreement, HCB Dénia continues to demonstrate its commitment to the citizens of Dénia and the Marina Alta.
