The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, travels Tuesday to Valencia together with the mayors of Oliva and Gandía to participate in a meeting with the consellera Mª José Salvador, with whom they will deal with matters concerning the coastal train. Grimalt arrives after having met Monday with the mayors of the region and agree with all of them in completely rejecting the Ministry of Public Works report which concludes that Tren de la Costa is an economically unfeasible infrastructure.
In the meeting held with all of them in the City of Dénia, of more than two hours, they concluded that each municipality that has received the study of the Ministry will present the allegations corresponding to its territory before the next 5 day of August, last day so that the institutions present allegations to the document.
The mayors of the region of the Marina Alta They agreed that they do not like the project sent by the Ministry, preferring those drafted before the latter, so at today's meeting, Tuesday, Grimalt will ask the Ministry for the 2014 reports issued by the Generalitat to find a common position between the La Marina and La Safor regions.
After the meeting with the Xarxa d'Alcaldes City Hall opened its doors to dozens of citizens who attended the briefing on the Tren de la Costa. Many questions and showed a lot of interest participation of all sectors of the local population by an infrastructure that is already taking too long to get to the Marina Alta.
