Great blackout in Les Rotes when the electricity bill breaks records

August 11 from 2021 - 12: 16

Imagine being on the verge of a great heat wave, that you are paying the highest electricity bills since you can remember and that you are left without being able to turn on the air conditioning, make dinner and disconnect watching television due to a service failure. That is exactly what happened last night in Les Rotes, when homes, restaurants and hotels in the area suffered a major blackout at sunset.

Approximately 4.000 homes were suddenly turned off at 22:30 p.m., so social networks were immediately filled with complaints as the residents of Les Rotes were unable to lead a normal life in their homes.

According to the newspaper The ProvincesThe cut was caused by the repair of a broken insulator that, according to the company, was repaired in about three minutes and 69% of the houses in the area immediately regained power, gradually returning to the others. However, many residents of the place have indicated on social networks that until late in the morning they did not recover the light in their homes, having had to dine and go to bed under candlelight.
