The Dianense triathlete, Andrea Fernández It comes from being fourth in the cadet category Triathlon Castelldefels.
The competition took place at the Olympic Canal Castelldefels on a sunny day. The first segment was swimming a distance of 350 meters. The cycling segment developed covering a street circuit 8 kilometers. While the third segment was footrace over a distance of 2.200 meters around the Olympic Canal itself.
Andrea Fernandez came in a good fifth channel after the first sector of swimming, making a quick transition that allowed him to achieve leading group attaching to the bike that had formed in the first meters.
He reached the second transition in sixth position a few meters from the leading group, already in the last segment of the race on foot he managed to overcome two positions that allowed him to obtain the meritorious fourth place with a total time of 31'30'' to 40 seconds of the winner of the Tri-Marbella.
Andrea is in the second position in the championship standings Spain. Very important achievement as this is his first year cadet and participation in national series.
