The end of the closure at 18:00 of bars and restaurants is approaching. Or so it seems, since the Consell has not yet wanted to officially announce whether there will be a new relief of restrictions. However, as usual, it is expected that on Thursday the president, Ximo Puig, appear after the interdepartmental meeting to specify what the new phase of de-escalation will be like, if it is not decided to extend the current one further.
What is certain is that it will be one of the main points to be debated during said interdepartmental commission. On the table is the possibility of delaying closing time until 20:00.
Currently, the closure takes place at 18:00 p.m., but with the incidence of the current coronavirus, it is to be assumed that it will bet on extending the hours of the establishments, as raised during the meeting that took place on Tuesday between representatives of the sector of the hospitality, nightlife and tourism, and the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló.
This approach has been received with disparate opinions among employers of the sector, who on the one hand are relieved that they will be able to carry out their activity for a longer time, but with the bitter aftertaste of continuing to be unable to offer the dinner service and renounce all the income that this entails.
Be that as it may, tomorrow the final decision of the Consell will be known for some measures that, if any, would come into force as of next Monday.
Politicians like Ximo Puig who arbitrarily decides these business closures without any sense should be economically responsible. What they have to do is be consistent and pay for the economic damage that they are causing people with their absurd restrictions ... it is not that politicians are useless, it is that they screw your life up ....
