[PHOTO GALLERY] The red alert already accumulates 60 liters by m2 and swallows the beach of Les Deveses

Twelve hours without stopping to rain, intensely, in Dénia. From midnight on Sunday to Monday, rain that has fallen in the capital of the region already accumulates 60 liters per square meter, according to the Valencian Agency of Meteorology (Avamet).

The result has been the closure of several streets, flooded by the falling water; suspension of classes in schools and municipal centers; and an image that is repeated with each storm: the disappearance of the beach of Les Deveses, where the water hits the walls of the houses hard again.

The red alert, of extreme risk, continues activated until the 15: 00 hours of Monday. From that moment the alert will decrease to orange (significant risk), with the probability of accumulating up to 140 liters per square meter in 12 hours and up to 30 liters in one hour. At 20: 00 hours all weather alerts will be removed to make way for a Tuesday on which we will begin to see the sun.
