Last Friday, the fans of the Marina Alta gathered to witness the exciting start of the Trofeu de la Sang Santíssima. The event, which was attended by several municipal authorities, began with the participation of two teams of promising youngsters from the Navy schools.
At 20:00 p.m., the confrontation between Giner and Tomás II against Puchol and Conillet began. Despite the arduous effort of the Marina competitors, Puchol and Conillet emerged victorious by a score of 60-35. However, the result did not reflect the intensity of the confrontation, which kept all the fans on edge until the last moment.
On Sunday, in the second semifinal, at 10:00 a.m., the students from the schools had the opportunity to show their skills in a previous game of raspall. At 11:30 a.m., the stellar confrontation between Pere Roc II and Javi against Francés and Nacho began. The latter achieved an incredible comeback, going from a score of 55-35 to a tie of 55-55. However, Pere Roc II and Javi finally prevailed, offering the fans an unprecedented show.
It is important to remember that the grand final will be held next Sunday, July 16, at 11:30 in the morning.
