Esteban Fernández del Esports Colau took the podium at the crossing of Moraira

The traditional "Swimming crossing of the Port of Moraira", held last Sunday, served to inaugurate the calendar of the "III Open Water Swimming Circuit Marina Alta". Meaning the good state of the sea that was completely calm, something that was appreciated by the swimmers. A test that each edition has grown in terms of the number of participants and that little by little has managed to gain a place in the swimming calendar in open waters.

The morning began with the exit to the longest test of 1.800 meters was out on the beach of Portet and the arrival in l`Ampolla. The winner of it was, César Fernández with a mark of 25 17 minutes and seconds. Although this swimmer is not enrolled in the circuit, which means that second-placed Adrián Zornosa whoever heads the classification. The third place went to Javier Garrido.

Of note is the third-place swimmer Esteban Fernandez del Esport Colau who got the podium in third in the category of Master 40.

In women the winner was Irina Santacreu with a record of 26 55 minutes and seconds. The second classified was Amanda Martínez with a time of 26 56 minutes and seconds and third place went to Sara Molina with a record of 30 52 minutes and seconds.

The next round of open water Circuit Marina Alta, organized by the Consorci Esportiu Marina Alta, will be held on Sunday August 9 the Journey to swim in Dénia.
