The rector of the UNED Dénia visit to discuss the LOMCE

22 July 2014 - 09: 56

Summer courses of the Open University in Dénia have received this week an illustrious view: the Rector of the Open University and Professor of History of Comparative Education, Alejandro Tiana Ferrer, who participated in a presentation on the new education law (LOMCE ).

The Rector expressed his disagreement with certain aspects of the law, that somehow limits the diversity of students when opting for one or another race. According to Tiana, "The fundamental thing to be able to train and educate ourselves is the teachers themselves. The laws are not magic wands, the teachers themselves play a fundamental role."

During his speech, the Rector of the UNED praised the work of the associated center of Dénia, "A very active Headquarters and summer courses are a manifestation of it. They are an extraordinary complement."

In his presentation he was accompanied by the director of the campus, Raquel Martí, who highly valued the presence of the rector and the great attendance of students, both in person and online.
