The PSPV-PSOE is committed to the "empowerment" of the youngest with a dozen proposals for them

The socialists of Denia have presented on Thursday the proposals included in their program designed for the youth of the town. The current councilor for youth at City Hall, Cristina Morera, has stressed that «somos el único partido que lleva en su programa de Gobierno un apartado específico de medidas en materia de Juventud. Medidas reales, concretas y ejecutables».

Así, con el objetivo de «empoderar» a los más jóvenes del municipio, desde el PSPV-PSOE se han centrado en una docena de propuestas específicas.

1. Municipal Childhood Plan to be able to access new programs dedicated to the little ones. This Plan will begin with the implementation of the Childhood Council by Social Services with the collaboration of the different councils involved.

2. Agreement with the IVAJ for the Youth Department to be the point of registration and obtaining the Youth Card, with the benefits that it entails.

3. Municipal Youth Plan.

4. Expand and improve the alternative leisure plan for young people from 12 to 16 years on Saturdays, which meets the needs, schedules and tastes of young people.

5. Train our young people through the completion of short courses but with which they obtain a certificate of professionalism, both through public institutions and accredited private companies.

6. In this sense, we will endow with an annual budget of 100.000 euros to implement municipal employment plans for the youngest, women and seniors of 55 years.

7. We will create the figure of the youth correspondents: young people who would inform the people around them (friends, schools, institutes) coordinated with the youth department, of the resources and programs at their disposal.

8. Strengthen the Youth Council to promote youth associations and their participation in decision-making. The Consell will have autonomy in the management and direct communication with the council.

9. Centralize and expand vocational training for employment. Enhance Vocational Training (in the centers that exist in Dénia) with the incorporation of new degrees in accordance with the demands of employment: children's education, image, sound, graphic arts, mechanical manufacturing (welding), maritime-fishing (boat painting, machinery maintenance, etc), fallero artist and set design, children's education.

10. Increase library hours at exam time.

In terms of youth housing candidate 3 PSPV-PSOE and councilor, Óscar Mengual, pointed out that the Socialists of Dénia have in the program to continue working with supramunicipal administrations to achieve decent access to housing by enhancing the demand through the City Council and the promotion of VPO housing for rent and sale with the Generalitat and SEPES (State Society for soil promotion and equipment) to sell land for the construction of public housing.

Finally, Mayor Vicent Grimalt explained the project in the medium term for Dénia has a university campus like those that already have municipalities such as Alcoy or Gandia.
