The "Dénia, green light to white light" program proposes innovation and efficiency in street lighting

The Local Agenda 21 presented yesterday in the city of Dénia a pioneer in Spain for city street lighting initiative: Dénia, green light to white light.

This proposal uses magnetic induction bulbs that emit white light instead of the orange light lights up the streets today. In addition to greater energy efficiency and lower consumption, these bulbs offer a longer life (20 years) are recyclable and white light emanating allows a more natural vision improves safety.

To test the opinion of citizens about this new white light and obtain more information about its result, a pilot project has been launched in which half of the lighting in the lighting has been replaced. Loreto street by the new magnetic induction lamps.

    I think it's very good to experiment and decide on a clean energy ...... but the experiment could have been done in a place where the number of light bulbs covered the entire space. Loreto street in two colors ...... as it is painful. Especially because the change image ... from a warm area (orange) to a colder area (white) and more groundbreaking. Two colors are compared ... ..and it may win the aesthetics before the ecology.
