Franciscan Father Enrique Oltra, promoter of the beatification of Pare Pere and lover of religious research, has donated to the Municipal Library of Dénia his 21 works so that citizens can consult them.
The donation was born after Father Oltra collaborated with the 21 Local Agenda in several talks, from where, in addition to proposing him for the prize José Marsal Caballero Radio Dénia finally gave last December, surigó the idea and processing the donation.
The donated works predominate above all religiosity in Latin America, where the Franciscan lived for more than 20 years, and the study of characters like Blessed John Duns Scotus or Pare Pere himself. It should also be noted that among the works is the only work that Valencia presented at 1992 in commemoration of the fifth centenary of the discovery of America, «Franciscanos Valencianos en América y Filipinas».
2 next March, Father Enrique Oltra will be presenting his work at the University of Cuyo (San Juan, Argentina), where he spent 9 years when he built a school that today has 1.500 students.
Only comment that are not 21 works, but 22. That same day Father Oltra told us that he had forgotten to include a book that is precisely focused on the life of Pare Pere. Not only that, brought a folder with a job that has been preparing for several years, in which using as a source of information to other historians of Denia, he has written a historical guide our town. We're talking about a character from a high intellectual level, and a passionate speech, especially when he speaks of ancient pre-Columbian civilizations.
