The new format of the D * na Restaurant enters Dénia

With the same vocation with which it was born four years ago, to put gastronomy and all its agents at the service of the citizen, the D * na Festival started yesterday Saturday in Dénia, a renewed appointment, adapted to the health situation and that focuses on the restaurants of Dénia.

D * na Restaurant once again brings gastronomy to the streets through two stages installed in the center of Dénia, through which renowned national and international chefs will pass, during the next three days. In each of them there will be culinary demonstrations and show cooking, talks, workshops, presentations and tastings of local producers and products, etc.

The curator of this event, the three-Michelin-star chef Quique Dacosta, highlighted the "transformative capacity of D * na", an event that this year takes advantage of "its positive energy to transfer it to restaurants in the city." For Dacosta, it is important to highlight that “we all row in the same direction”, “generating a
circular economy, transcendental and transversal for our territory ”.

The chef has also highlighted the importance of the next celebration in Valencia of the Michelin Gala, on December 14, which places the international glances of gastronomy in the Valencian Community, and now also, in Dénia.

For his part, the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has recognized the trajectory of D * na, which is "a social movement that claims meanings, the values ​​of the territory and the landscape." For Colomer, “D * na are alliances of the entire value chain of a sector with a national projection, an exaltation of life,
of the future, of hope, in times of difficulty ”.

The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, thanked the work of both Quique Dacosta and the organization of the D * na Festival, an event in which they have worked “to make it a success, hoping it will be a great gastronomy festival and products from our Community ”.

D * na Restaurant is held in Dénia until next Monday, December 6. For the first few hours Vilde Lunde Traeet, from Bergen (Norway) and Maha Lindhom and Marina Lofgrem, from Ostersund (Sweden), two Creative Cities of Gastronomy by UNESCO; like Dénia. Bruno Ruiz (Rte. Aticcook, Dénia) and Alberto Ferruz (Rte. BonAmb, Xàbia), have completed the morning presentations.

Meanwhile, on the Marqués de Campo stage, a family workshop has been held to make cocas, and talks about “moixa” and the presentation of the “Bancalet” project.

In the next few days there will be presentations and gastronomic demonstrations by renowned national chefs, such as Albert Adrià, the Rte. Tickets, from Barcelona; Begoña Rodrigo, from Rte. La Salita (Valencia); Rafa Soler, from Rte. Audrey's (Calp); Ricard Camarena, from Rte. Ricard Camarena (Valencia); Miquel Ruiz (El Baret de Miquel, Dénia); Kiko Moya (Rte. L'Escaleta, Cocentaina) or Quique Dacosta himself, among others.

Parallel to these activities, between December 3 and 6, the premises that are part of the initiative (bars, restaurants, ice cream parlors, bakeries, businesses in the agri-food sector ...) offer a program of menus or elaborations associated with local products as well as other complementary activities.
