The Municipal Market proposes a delicious bite to discover the traditional figatells

El figatell It is a handmade preparation with meat from different parts of the pig. The taste depends on the chosen part, the incorporated species and the quantities used. This traditional product, typical of the Marina Alta and La Safor, is the undisputed star at the Mercat de Dénia this week.

From Tuesday 26 and until June's 30, nueve de las once carnicerías del Mercado de Dénia ofrecerán la unidad de figatell a 0’30 céntimos, y gracias a paneles explicativos los clientes podrán conocer los detalles de la carnicería y de este típico producto.

Las carnicerías participantes en esta campaña son: Carnisseria Marina Alta; Carnicería Juanito; Carnisseria Maite; Carnisseria Montse Cabot; Carnisseria Félix Pastor; Carnisseria l’Avi Juanito; Carnisseria Alacreu; Carnisseria Corella y Carnisseria JA Lillo.

In addition, the bars Magallanes and Viciano will offer during these days tapas of figatell and a drink for 2 euros, allowing thus to discover this meat proposal so ours.

The campaign to promote figatell will be completed on Thursday, June 28 day, with a showcooking in the central part of the market where customers can see live how the kitchen is cooked figatell and its variants.

The municipal market councilor, Javier Scotto, explained that this campaign is the first of many others in which the Mercat and its products will be promoted in a sectorized and specific manner, with the aim of linking each activity to a specific season of the year.

The figatell promotion campaign has the support of the Office of Innovation and Creativity of the City of Dénia.
